Notice of the Development Charges By-law coming into force
(D02-18)
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury passed a municipal-wide development charges By-law N° 16-2020 on June 8, 2020, under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c. 27, as amended;
Said By-law comes into force on September 1, 2020.

RESIDENTS OF CAMERON STREET AND MAIN STREET
This notice is to inform you that the construction activities on Cameron Street (between Main Street and Lansdowne Street) will resume on Monday, August 10 and will be spread over approximately four (4) weeks.
In addition, the intersection of Cameron Street and Main Street will be completely closed to traffic August 10 to August 21.
We ask that you follow the detour signs in order to by-pass the construction zone.

RESIDENTS OF: REJANE, JAMES, CECILE, GHISLAIN AND TUPPER STREETS
This notice is to inform you that the construction activities in relation to the Road Improvement Program of the Town of Hawkesbury will begin on Friday August 7 and will be spread over approximately four (4) weeks.
The improvement works will be carried out on the following road sections:
- Rejane Street between West Street and Omer Street;
- James Street between Portelance Street and Nelson Street East;
- Cecil blvd. between Boul. Cartier and James Street;
- Ghislain Street between Duplate Street and Stevens Street, and;
- Tupper Street between 900 Tupper and 850 Tupper.
We therefore request your collaboration in order to keep the streets clear of vehicles during the construction activities. This will facilitate and accelerate the pavement rehabilitation process.

Chalet at Larocque Park is temporarily closed

Sports Complex opening

The Sports Complex is now open!
We are proceeding in stages. For the moment, only the multisports room is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the practice of racquet sports (1 tennis court, 1 badminton court and 1 pickleball court) or athletics, under certain conditions.
You need to:
- Book your multisport court in advance online at: reservations.hawkesbury.ca or by phone at (613) 636-2082;
- Present an identity document with proof of residence upon arrival at the information desk;
- Respond to screening questionnaire by arriving at least 15 minutes before the start of the reserved period;
- Wear a mask in common areas, except when practicing sports;
- Respect social distancing;
- Be ready prior to your arrival and bring your equipment with you, as the changing rooms are not accessible to the public.
For a limited time, we are offering free access to the multisports courts to our residents ($3 for non-residents). Access to the athletics track is still free for everyone!
Please note that the Sports Complex is only open for sports or for the purchase of parking permits for boat ramps. No loitering will be allowed inside.
