2020 Assessment Update

The Ontario Government has announced that the 2020 Assessment Update has been postponed. The province has indicated that property assessments for the 2021 taxation year will continue to be based on the fully phased-in January 1, 2016 current values (i.e., the same valuation date in use for the 2020 taxation year).

In 2016, we mailed a Property Assessment Notice to every property owner in the province – assessing more than five million properties in Ontario. Your 2016 Notice reflects the assessed value and classification of your property as of January 1, 2016 and this will be used as the basis for calculating your 2021 property taxes.

NOTICE

ALL ADDRESSES ON ALLAN STREET

This notice is to inform you that there will be municipal infrastructure work performed tomorrow June 18, 2020, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Allan street.

During this time, a temporary drop of pressure and/or a minor water interruption may occur which can cause a reddish colouring of the water. Before any use of water, we recommend that you verify if the water is coloured. If the water is coloured, leave the cold water taps running until the water returns to its usual colour. Note that this discolouration will have no harmful effect on your health.

NOTE: Work will be postponed to a later date if weather conditions are unfavourable.
