Pros: - Better than my previous i5-8400
- Now I can watch youtube on the side while gaming and not lag :)
Cons: - Probably Out of Stock
- Kind of in a niche spot. If you can, just go for ryzen 5 5600x or pony up and go for ryzen 9 5900x
Overall Review: It's my first AMD cpu after using a Toshiba laptop APU 10+ years ago, and it's going great.
Screw those scalpers :(.
I wish everyone who's still trying to get new PC hardware the best of luck.

Pros: -Fast
-Cheap
- Support MSI B450 Tomahawk Non Max
-SAM is enable on B450
Cons: -Not delivered by Lisa Su herself
Overall Review: I upgraded from a 2600 with MSI B450 Tomahawk non Max. Flash the new Bios and it work perfectly out of the box. SAM was added into the bios feature so anyone with a B450/470 don't need to spend extra $$ on a new motherboard. The most impressive feature about this chip is their PBO 2 which undervolt and overclock as good as manually overclocking. The PBO that is feature in the Ryzen 5000 series are a lot better than the 3000 series according to various sources in google search lol. Highly recommend for anyone with older Zen and are looking to upgrade.

Check your bios!1/4/2021 6:13:07 PM
Overall Review: For those lucky enough to snag an AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPU right now at MSRP please check your bios version on your motherboard before first boot. First time I booted this up the motherboard wouldnt recognize the cpu. Luckily I had a 3600 to test the motherboard. It worked fine so I figured the bios hadnt been updated. I have the MSI X570 Unify for those that are curious and the bios version was from August of this year. Once I updated the bios everything ran fine. Hope this helps.

Pros: This is an amazing upgrade from my previous i7 3930k k build.16 Cores and 32 Threads of Awesome.Lighting fast boot time and handles everything you can throw at it with ease.
Cons: One of the more expensive options even at MSRP
Overall Review: 5950x is a high end processor with a lot of power. Loads and runs any application with ease. Load times are a thing of the past. Going from an old i7 to this monster 5950x was like going from a dial-up modem to 500 GB cable. Do you really need a 16 core 32 thread processor? Probably not.Do you want one, YES, YES YOU DO.

Pros: Tons of cores/threadsIPC gains over Zen 2Can run with Eco mode if I want to set it there, but the Ubuntu CPU Freq. settings default powersave mode runs all cores at 2.2 Ghz, so I can use the app to speed it up anytime I need it.AM4 socket. Swapped out a 3900x for this in about 30 mins.Able to air cool it with a NH-U12S for my application it's working so far.Great for a Home lab. Currently running 16 VMs on it and will be adding more.
Cons: Full Price, but with the current demand, that's the way it is.Can't see the cpu temps currently using the 5.8.x kernel. Apparently that sensor module might be included in the 5.10 or 5.11 kernel to be included with Ubuntu 21.04 coming out in a couple weeks or 20.04.3 in August.
Overall Review: I entered and got selected for the Newegg Shuffle on Monday. It arrived today, Wednesday. I'm a product engineer, not a gamer or videographer (at least not yet..). So my application is for running many virtual machines and developing the automation of deployments, configuration, maintenance, and decommissioning of big data related open source applications. My Virtualization server:Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow BlackCPU: 5950xMB: B550 Aorus Master (latest Bios) Support for 3 gen4 NVMe drives.RAM: 128 GB DDR4 3600 CL18PSU: EVGA 650W GoldHDD: OS: 500GB Samsung 960 EVO Datadrive: 2TB Intel 660P NVMe HDD: 2TB WD BlueOS: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS desktop minimal installHypervisor: Virtualbox (works fine)

Great CPU12/2/2020 11:57:34 AM
Pros: Boosts to 4.85ghz
Improved frame times over 6700k in gaming
Cons: Runs a little warm, but was expected, idle between 35-40c with ambient 22c, using a large air cooler
Hits 77-80c under load
Overall Review: Upgrading from a 6700k, this was a great upgrade, would recommend.
